RunSignup, the leading registration provider for U.S. endurance events, announces its latest release of RaceDay Scoring, the next generation in scoring software. This new release of RaceDay Scoring includes backup to cloud functionality giving timers greater data security and flexibility. Participant scoring data can be securely backed up at any time and easily accessed from alternate computers at another time or by other timer team members. This ensures continuity of operations and supports a streamlined team approach. RunSignup’s scoring software solutions, which include RaceDay Scoring and The Race Director, have thus far scored ~1.6 million participants in 2022.

“We are excited to roll out the backup to cloud feature as we know many timers are in situations where the sharing of the current event scoring setup and data is needed. Also, now after the height of the pandemic is behind us, we are seeing many of the head timers use more junior timers on site and then handle the data management from a different location. This now gives them an easier way to achieve this and to be able to easily access and manage files at a later date,” said James Harris, RunSignup’s RaceDay Chief Technology Officer.

RaceDayScoring is built to be a laptop scoring product so that timers do not need to rely on an internet connection to time races. RaceDay Scoring communicates with RunSignUp’s cloud system to deliver online results, real time txt alerts to participants, and reporting to the Timer Dashboard on RunSignup. This release extends the power of the RunSignup Timer Dashboard to offer increased data security and streamlines the scoring process. Timers can backup files to the cloud with a simple click of a button and files are automatically backed up when saving the event’s data. In addition, this new feature bypasses the need to import and export zipped files from public folders and simplifies the process for accessing the data by team members or from alternative computers. RaceDay Scoring will display the last 25 backups per race year.

RaceDay Scoring is RunSignup’s premier scoring software designed to meet the current and future needs of endurance race timers. Its integration with RunSignup’s RaceDay timer tools – such as RaceDay Registration, RaceDay CheckIn app – provide significant race operation advantages to timers and race organizers. RaceDay Scoring supports traditional endurance events, cross country, relay and team events, and lap events.

Timers are invited to attend RunSignup’s live webinar on RaceDay Scoring’s new backup to cloud functionality on June 7.
