RunSignup, the leading registration and technology provider for the U.S. endurance race industry, is pleased to introduce its newest team member, Soren Larson, who joins as the company’s Senior Technical Account Manager focused on Timers. Larson’s primary focus will be on supporting timers with RunSignup’s RaceDay suite of timer technology. His extensive experience in the endurance industry, coupled with his technical expertise, will be a valuable resource for RunSigup’s customers and product development initiatives. Larson will play an important role for RunSignup as the company continues to deliver technology innovation and support its steadily growing customer base.

Larson brings a wealth of knowledge from his decade-long tenure at Mtec, one of the nation's leading timing companies. His journey in the industry began during his time at the University of Minnesota, where he immersed himself in high school track and cross country as both a coach and race official. Larson's initial involvement in timing race part-time eventually led to a full-time position, shaping his career in the timing industry.

Throughout his tenure at Mtec, Larson played a pivotal role in timing major events such as the Twin Cities Marathon, Grandma’s Marathon, and the Columbus Marathon. He also spearheaded technological advancements within the company, becoming an expert user of RunScore, and contributing to the deployment of a cloud-based scoring and results system encompassing more than a million results since 2010.

In his new role at RunSignup, Larson will be an integral part of the Account Management team, focusing on assisting current timers and onboarding new timers with RunSignup's RaceDay products. Larson will also focus on collaborating with various industry timing technology partners integrated with the RunSignup registration platform. He will also adopt a hands-on approach by actively participating in races nationwide to provide on-site guidance and gather valuable real-world insights for RunSignup's RaceDay development team.

Commenting on Larson's appointment, Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup stated, "We are excited to welcome Soren to the RunSignup team. His understanding of timing technology, coupled with his dedication to educating others, aligns perfectly with our mission to empower timers with cutting-edge solutions. Soren is well known in the industry and understands the unique needs of timers. I know our customers are going to appreciate him as a resource.”

Larson's appointment comes at an opportune time as RunSignup continues to experience significant momentum in its RaceDay products, with an expanding customer base of timers. His expertise will be instrumental in helping timers to leverage the product innovation available with the RaceDay Suite of products, including RaceDay Scoring, RaceDay Results, RaceDay CheckIn, RaceJoy, RaceDay Photos, and Ticket technology for timers.
