RunSignup, the leading registration provider for U.S. endurance events, announces RaceDay CheckIn now with custom label printing. Race events using the RaceDay CheckIn app are now able to print personalized participant information to create more efficient processing at packet pickup and on race day. Labels placed on the participant bibs can contain a number of custom fields, such as name, age, event the participant is doing, team name, corral, bib number, and t-shirt size. The RaceDay CheckIn app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and transmits data to the label printer using local WiFi services. RunSignup’s RaceDay CheckIn app is a free product designed for race organizers to deliver an efficient race day check-in experience and overcome typical race operations challenges. More than one million participants have been checked-in with the RaceDay CheckIn app already this year.

“We introduced the RaceDay CheckIn app to help events address the typical issues that can occur when processing people through packet pickup. With the app, events are able to avoid long lines and frustrated participants, and are able to have volunteers make changes as needed versus routing people to escalation tables. This new label printing feature provides added efficiencies by displaying important personalized information on event materials and helps avoid miscommunication and confusion on race day,” said Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup.

With this new release, event organizers can select the fields they would like printed on the custom labels that are then adhered to the participant’s bib or other event materials. Events can choose to use just one field or add multiple fields. This helps bypass the need to have race staff look up individual information, such as t-shirt size, and quickly communicates key information to those working the check-in process or facilitating the course on race day.

Events are able to customize the layout and font format and a variety of label sizes. The participant’s data for the label is transmitted from the app using WiFi technology and makes use of Android and Apple’s operating systems print feature. RunSignup has certified the compatibility with Brother QL-810w printer.
RaceDay Check-In is deployed through the app store and is available on Android or Apple tablets and phones. Race organizers are able to continue to use RaceDay CheckIn when spotty cell conditions exist and the data automatically loads and syncs when cell service connection is re-established.

The RaceDay CheckIn app is one of the many products RunSignup offers as part of its RaceDay Suite of technology products designed to support the essential needs of race day. Other products include RaceJoy, RaceDay Scoring, The Race Director, RaceDay Photos, RaceDay Registration, RaceDay Results, and RaceDay Bib Management.
