GiveSignup | RunSignup, the leading technology provider for US fundraising and endurance events, opened registration for their upcoming Virtual Summer Symposium taking place July 21-22, 2021. This virtual event focuses on helping event organizers and nonprofits adjust to changes in the industry and get back to in-person and hybrid events now. The schedule includes two days of sessions designed to share cutting edge technology with event organizers and nonprofits, with an optional third day for timers to complete a RaceDay Certification program. Registration for the event is free, but space is limited.

The Virtual Symposium is the third virtual version of GiveSignup | RunSignup’s biannual educational symposiums, with sessions tailor-made for an unprecedented year. Along with three one-day seminars, the Virtual Symposiums provide fundraising event professionals with a look at the latest industry trends and provide training on new technology. Fundraising and endurance event organizers looking forward to in-person education will soon have an opportunity for that, as well, with the GiveSignup | RunSignup Winter Symposium coming up in Orlando in January 2022. Pre-registration for the Winter Symposium is available here.

The three days of education provide a framework for event organizers who are getting back in the game after a quiet 2020, as well as technology updates and best practices for those who have been producing virtual and/or in-person events throughout the pandemic.

Wednesday, July 21st focuses on the progress and renewal of the fundraising events industry, with an emphasis on how innovation and engagement is leading to a rebound for the sport. Additionally, sessions will dive into the lessons of 2020 and how events should adapt in 2021 to grow their participation, create unforgettable experiences, and raise more.

Thursday, July 22nd kicks with the free Summer of Joy 5K, a virtual race designed specifically to allow event organizers to experience the GPS runner-tracking app RaceJoy, along with other hybrid race features, from the perspective of a participant and spectator. The majority of Thursday will be dedicated 20-minute mini-sessions covering 25+ key features and tools that organizations can use to save time, attract participants and donors, and create interactive race day experiences, safely. Targeted tracks for nonprofits, endurance events, and timers allow attendees to pick a single track or tailor their own schedule to meet their needs.

Timers wishing to be certified in RaceDay Scoring, the next generation scoring software, or RaceJoy, the GPS-based runner tracking app, also have the option to register for one or both Certification Programs on Tuesday, July 20th.

Bob Bickel, GiveSignup | RunSignup Founder and CEO said, “After a year of kicking off virtual Symposiums with reports of continued uncertainty and struggle, we are very excited to be preparing for a session dedicated to the comeback of fundraising and endurance events. We are seeing a ton of enthusiasm from out customers as they plan for the future, and the demand for information and training is higher than ever.”
