RunSignup, the leading registration and technology provider for endurance events in the United States, released its third quarter business update. The company continues to experience steady growth in the endurance, ticketing, and peer-to-peer fundraising market segments. RunSignup’s success is largely attributed to its innovative technology, affordable pricing, and aversion to restrictive customer contracts. The company’s Q3 update indicates a normalizing behavior shift with advanced participant registrations.

“This quarter was very interesting. Our company continues to experience steady growth every month with new events coming on to our platform. However, our revenue and registration numbers indicate a relative slowdown in growth in the third quarter. This is because participants are reverting back to pre-pandemic behaviors where they are registering months in advance. This clearly indicates the market’s confidence is restored and it is a good sign for our industry, “ said Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup.

Endurance Business Highlights

RunSignup continues to expand its market share with a steady 11% growth of new events compared to 2022, and an impressive 35-40% growth since 2019, highlighting the platform's popularity among event organizers. The third quarter reflects a notable shift in registration patterns compared to Q3 2022, with participants registering earlier in the year, revealing a return to normalcy in the endurance community. Despite a relative slowdown, RunSignup's high-level numbers showcase steady growth and the company continues to increase market share in the endurance space.

RunSignup ascribes its growth to its continual investment in innovative, comprehensive technology products and competitive pricing. These combine to offer significant advantages over other vendors in the market.

This quarter RunSignup delivered many new advancements to its product offering, including a newly revamped Race Renewal process, many Email enhancements, Click to TXT Social Share, revamped Questions Dashboard Page, and many more. Specifically for timers, the company launched a milestone release of RaceDay Scoring with Version 4, and continues to make enhancements to the RaceDay Checkin App to add functionality like Result Kiosk modes and Medical Tent capabilities.

TicketSignup

RunSignup's TicketSignup business showcased a doubling of ticket volume and nearly tripling of transaction volume. The company attributes this growth to increasing market awareness and adoption from its existing RunSignup customer base who produce adjacent ticket supported events. In addition, there is a growing dissatisfaction with other ticket vendors’ pricing and enforced contract-based relationships. Customers are finding TicketSignup offers advanced technology that is easy to use with many free options such as email and custom websites without the high prices or restrictive contracts.

GiveSignup Peer to Peer

The company’s GiveSignup peer-to-peer fundraising business experienced an 8% growth in donations in Q3 compared to Q3 2022 and a remarkable 166% increase from Q3 2019. Several high-profile $1 Million + P2P fundraising events committed to moving to GiveSignup in 2024, setting the stage for a strong year in this business.
