Race Directors HQ, the online resource platform and community network for race directors and race management professionals, has released Budget Builder, a free budgeting tool specifically built for the needs of race directors.

Budget Builder is built around an intuitive click-to-add interface pre-loaded with the most common budget items races need, and comes with a starter budget that can be quickly customized to meet the requirements of any race, from a community 5K to a multi-day race festival.

In addition to a user interface built specifically with races in mind, Budget Builder comes with powerful out-of-the-box budget insights that can help race directors gain a better understanding of their event economics, participant projections and budget overruns, including:

• Information on participant net margins broken down by event distance
• Projections of participant numbers on race day based on current registration levels
• Participation break-even metrics, tracking the number of participants required for an event to turn a profit
