USA Triathlon today announced its Together We Thrive Certification Program, a collection of free diversity, equity, inclusion and access education courses available for all members of the multisport community who wish to foster positive change in their communities. The free Together We Thrive Certification curriculum is available for free to all members of the multisport community who want to explore topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion and access (DEIA) in multisport.

“We're so excited to be able to provide free multisport-specific diversity, equity, inclusion, and access educational opportunities for our community, while also recognizing those committed to fostering diversity and inclusion,” said Megan Ritch, USA Triathlon’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access Senior Manager. “Future course will be released on a rolling basis, allowing us to best serve the needs of our sport in real time, covering DEIA topics that are current and relevant.”

USA Triathlon's Together We Thrive Certification education curriculum is a multi-course certification program with courses released throughout the year, culminating in a DEIA Activation. Courses that have already been released include: Together We Thrive: Foundations for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access and Together We Thrive: Adaptive Rules, Accessibility Division and Recommendations.

The introductory Foundations course provides a base knowledge of DEIA, as well as DEIA planning, while the Adaptive Rules course provides an overview of the new Adaptive Rules, Accessibility divisions and Recommendations included in USA Triathlon’s 2023 Multisport Competition Rules.

Those wishing to complete the Together We Thrive Certification are required to complete five courses and implement at least one DEIA-focused action item in their community.

Those interested in learning more and enrolling in the Together We Thrive Certification can access the courses on USA Triathlon’s learning platform, triathlonlearning.com
