RunSignup, the leading technology solution for US endurance events, reported record-breaking numbers in their 2024 Year-in-Review. As the company celebrates their 15th anniversary they enabled customers to generate more revenue from events and fundraising than ever before. In 2024, RunSignup helped customers process $562 million for their events, up 20% from 2023. Overall, RunSignup saw growth across all three businesses, RunSignup for endurance events, TicketSignup for ticketed events, and GiveSignup for peer-to-peer fundraising events.

The strong 2024 report shows an increase in market share for RunSignup, with the company reaching 50% market share in the US. However, the news is good for the whole industry – 12% of growth came from growth of participation in races. This included an 8% increase in per-race participation as well as boosts from other revenue generators like price increase, merchandise sales, and participant insurance. Looking to 2025, the company forecasts an 8% growth in total transaction volume, including a further 2% increase in participation rates.

RunSignup’s registration product for endurance events remains the company’s most-used product, with registration related transactions accounting for $456 million, driven by 9,742,508 registrations. TicketSignup, the company’s fast growth business leveraged technology reuse to grow the platform to nearly 1 million tickets and $41 million in transaction volume in 2024. Meanwhile, GiveSignup’s peer-to-peer fundraising event software reported $64 million in donations, up 19% since 2023.

RunSignup attributes its steady growth to a customer-centric focus on iterative technology that ensures customers have the cutting edge technology they deserve. 2024 was no exception, with more than 2,000 software releases throughout the year. Key upgrades included the new Membership V2 product, Websites V2 for races, Fundraiser Incentives, and the next-generation, calendar-driven MTE Timed Entry Ticketing.

Bob Bickel, RunSignup CEO and Founder, said about the year, “While we have 3 lines of business, we have one single platform with 2,700 database tables and over 2 million lines of code. For our endurance community, this means we will continue to have better software and more features available – for every race on our platform, not only the large races. And with 60% of our employees focused on helping customers, the resources are available to ensure the success of all events.”
