RunSignup, the leading technology provider for US endurance events, announces RunSignup AI, a new way for customers to interact with and leverage the power of the platform. AI is an additive interface for the RunSignup platform, supplementing RunSignup’s robust set of event tools with new dynamic options for custom applications and data analysis.

Currently, there are three separate areas of focus for RunSignup AI. First, RunSignup’s open API and secure OAuth 2 infrastructure empowers customers to build custom, public facing applications. This means customers can build applications such as a Find a Race, Results Kiosk, Fundraising Leaderboards, and more.

Second, RunSignup will have its first MCP over the summer of 2025. The Model Context Protocol enables ChatGPT to access RunSignup’s public race information to understand when and where races are happening. With AI quickly emerging as the third marketplace (along with Google & Meta), this ensures that RunSignup races will be found when a local runner asks “what races are in Pasadena next weekend?”.

Third, RunSignup will implement secure MCP interfaces to the RunSignup platform. This means race directors will be able to utilize ChatGPT to query their race information for fast, targeted reports that supplementRunSignup’s built-in reporting. For example, a race can get detailed information about demographic changes from one year to the next or evaluate patterns in donations throughout the race cycle. For this (coming later in 2025), private information and functionality done via a race dashboard will require login, and all dashboard data will be kept separate from the general LLM.
