RunSignup, the leading technology provider for US races, announces another significant advance for race directors with the introduction of the free RunSignup AI Chatbot. The RunSignup AI Chatbot will provide automated answers to participants, attendees, and members based on the free event website and participant data like race results. Early users of the RunSignup AI Chatbot technology report a drop in questions from customers of over 70%.

The RunSignup AI Chatbot will be implemented by new RunSignup team member, Daniel Beasley, the founder and builder of Queu.ai and EventSavvy.ai. Beasley has been working with RunSignup customers over the last year, and brings his experience harnessing the fast-moving evolution of AI to reduce customer service. He commented, “I am excited to bring AI-based customer service technology to tens of thousands of events by building out the new RunSignup AI Chatbot”.

RunSignup customers share Beasley’s enthusiasm for the new project. Tony Sapp, Owner of Negative Split Productions, previously worked with Beasley via Queu.ai. He said of the coming RunSignup AI Chatbot, “I’ve been working with RunSignup for nearly a decade, and their tools have always made my job as a race director and timer easier. I’ve already seen how powerful the AI chatbot can be in saving time and improving participant support. Combining that with RunSignup’s deep understanding of the endurance space and current technology infrastructure is a game-changer.”

David Hutnik, the Race Director and Owner of Coastal Race Productions zeroed in on the benefits of an AI Chatbot for managing customer service. “We immediately noticed emails nearly came to a halt – so much so that I was worried something was broken. But it turned out the AI agent was just doing its job, answering questions like a trained team member. In the end, we saw an 80% reduction in emails. Participants are now getting answers even faster, and we’re saving 5-10 hours a week on support.”

The initial release of the RunSignup AI Chatbot will be limited in access and scope as additional automation is built. However, features will rapidly expand to provide RunSignup and TicketSignup customers additional benefits, including a Chatbot widget built into the event website, integration with the RunSignup AI Chatbot into Contact Us Forms, real time data integration, participant management features based on the event settings, access to chat histories, and more. All features will be free to customers.

“RunSignup has always operated on the philosophy that our company’s success is directly tied to how much we help our customers to succeed” said Bob Bickel, RunSignup CEO and Founder. “In keeping with that, RunSignup has invested in our Year of AI to ensure that customers can harness the power of new AI technologies. The RunSignup AI Chatbot will be free and easily accessible to our customers to increase their efficiency, and ensure happier participants in their events. We’re excited to provide another free tool alongside our free email marketing, free website, and more.”
