GiveSignup | RunSignup, the leading technology provider for fundraising and endurance events, closed out Q2 with encouraging signs of recovery and growth for both the company and its customers. With vaccination rates going up and reductions in event modifications, events re-emerged rapidly through the quarter, culminating in a June with 18% more transactions than June of 2019.

Comparisons to 2019, the last year of “normal” business, show slightly lagging registrations through the quarter. For the full quarter, registrations and nonprofit ticket sales remained down 11%, but by June that gap had flattened to just a 1% decrease compared to 2019. The increase in nonprofit customers, including many who held free fundraising-focused events through the challenging months of early 2021, led to an 8% increase in transactions on the GiveSignup | RunSignup despite the lower number of registrations.

In addition to the growth numbers, GiveSignup | RunSignup’s Q2 report shared insights into shifts in the market and the progress of technology. Highlights include:

  • In the new hybrid era, 80% of June transactions were for live events, up from 50% in January.
  • As the nonprofit side of the business continues to grow, more than 40% of the transactions on GiveSignup | RunSignup came from 501(c)3 organizations.
  • The company deployed 600+ technology releases in the quarter, including a re-vamped On-Site Registration solution and RaceDay Scoring 3.0 with support for teams, relays, and cross country.
  • The updated RaceDay CheckIn App checked in over 240,000 participants in 900+ races during Q2.
