RunSignup | GiveSignup announces the launch of its RunSignup Timer Certification program. The new RunSignup Timer Certification program is designed to provide timers with the ability to offer their events new and expanded registration and marketing related services that help increase event registrations. The program includes in-depth training on RunSignup’s registration platform capabilities and a wealth of marketing technology tools that timers can then package as a differentiated value for their events. Timers are the backbone to the endurance race industry and provide race organizers with indispensable services in addition to timing and scoring events, including overall event guidance and race related technology and services. The first online RunSignup Timer Certification course will be held on March 9 from 1pm to 4pm EST.

“Since timers represent multiple events, they are in an unique position to be a vital source of knowledge for event organizers. We’ve seen the most successful timers take into consideration the whole picture by helping guide events on best practices and offer many services beyond timing and scoring races. I’m excited to add this new timer certification that is specific to RunSignup’s registration and event marketing side of things so that timers and their events can get the most out of all the resources available to them at RunSignup. Ultimately, we all benefit the more the industry prospers and our goal is to help our timers and events deliver a great experience,” said Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup | GiveSignup.

The new RunSignup Timer Certification program enables timers to continue to expand the value and services they provide by becoming an official resource for RunSignup’s registration and marketing tools. Certified timers can bundle various capabilities and offer the option to manage services, including registration setup and a host of marketing and communications products such as race websites, email communication, referrals, and social media promotion.  Event organizers are able to engage with their RunSignup Certified Timer to get the most out of RunSignup as their registration provider and can choose to delegate setup and management of key functions to their timer.

RunSignup’s RaceDay division is exclusively focused on the timer industry and develops advanced technology and services to support the unique needs of timers. Timers are invited to register for the free online RunSignup Timer Certification training that will be held on Tuesday, March 9 from 1pm to 4pm EST.
