RacePerk, the UK digital goody bag service that allows race organisers to enhance their participant rewards, generate new income and reduce waste, launches nationwide on 21st May 2018.

Leaflets placed in goody bags often finish up littering our towns and countryside. RacePerk does away with any paper content in goody bags by replicating these promotional messages as digital offers from sponsors and event partners. This is a 100% done-for-you service that can be topped up with premium freebies and offers from exciting sports, health and fitness brands.

Ideal for events of all sizes, RacePerk is particularly suited to running, triathlon, cycling, open-water swimming and obstacle course races. Event organisers promote participant registration (GDPR-compliant) in order that they can view the offers after crossing the finish line.

Many pilot events have already benefitted from using RacePerk including the 2018 ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon: “A terrific idea and a great way to provide added exposure for sponsors,” said Gus Karagiannis, Business Development Manager at Xtra Mile Events. “We aim to include RacePerk at a range of events within the Human Race portfolio.”

The 2018 Coventry Half Marathon’s John Abell (General Manager) also commented: “We were delighted to try RacePerk as we believe there’s a strong need for it in the market. We had to cancel our race due to snow but, thanks to RacePerk, still gave our runners some great freebies. This would have been impossible with a standard goody bag. We’ll use RacePerk again next year!”

The RacePerk team is headed by Simon Blackburn, a founder director of High5 Sports Nutrition and the man behind the UK’s first official Ironman triathlon. “For races with sponsors and local partners, RacePerk has already been shown to generate new income. It delights racers whilst saving time and money for organisers. Let’s work together to enhance events and reduce waste.”

Importantly, RacePerk enables organisers access to a high-tech, high quality service to modernise their participant experience. “For races looking for the next stage in sustainability we’re even investigating a fully biodegradable, starch-based alternative to the plastic bag”, Simon added.
