Promoting your race on race calendars, buying and using promo credits
Race Calendar Wizard is our tool for automating submission of your race details to race calendars across the web. Race Calendar Wizard can save you countless hours of searching for eligible race calendars and submitting your race details to them manually.

To list your race on race calendars using Race Calendar Wizard:
The short answer is: as soon as your race details have been confirmed. There is really no harm in listing your race on race calendars early, as many racers plan their racing schedule well in advance.
There is a number of factors that affect how many race calendars in our database your race will be matched with before being submitted for listing. Some calendars may only accept races of a certain race type (e.g. running only or triathlon only) or may only accept races in a specific region (e.g. a specific state or city).
Typically, races will be matched with between 25-35 national and regional race calendars, depending on race type, location and race distance.
To see how many race calendars your race is currently listed on and how many more it could be submitted to:
When submitting your race for listing on race calendars through our Race Calendar Wizard tool, your race will be matched to a number of national and regional race calendars matching your race type, location and the distances your race offers. We only submit races to eligible, active race calendars, not generic event listing sites.
Once your race is submitted for listing, you will be able to see all the race calendars your race will be listed on in detail on your dashboard's Race Calendar Wizard page.
The time taken between submission of your race details to race calendars for listing and publication of your race on those calendars can vary a lot between sites.
Some race calendars automatically publish race details as soon as they are submitted. For these calendars, we will include a link to your published race listing on your race's Race Calendar Wizard page as soon as your race is submitted.
Most race calendars, however, operate a screening process before publishing race details. This means the race calendar administrators will have to review the details for your race and then approve the race for publication on their calendars. This process can take between a few hours to several days or even weeks, in some cases.
To see published listings for a race you have submitted, keep checking in on your dashboard's Race Calendar Wizard page. There you will see View listing links appearing next to each race calendar we have submitted your race to, when those submissions are approved by each respective site.
As race calendar administrators review and approve your race for publication, we will be running checks to see where your race is listed on each race calendar. When we find details of your race published on a race calendar we submitted your race to, we will grab that link and show it to your next to that race calendar listing on your race's Race Calendar Wizard page.
If your don't see a View listing link next to a race calendar listing, this means one of the following:
In short: we do our best to get you all the published links for your race calendar listings, but there is no 100% surefire way of being able to find them all as your race details may be changed by race calendar administrators or your race may be held in review for several days before publication.
There are two types of promo credits you can use to list your race through our Race Calendar Wizard tool:
Free promo credits that you get as part of your annual Premium plan subscription expire at the end of that subscription term. You can't roll them forward or use them if you choose to downgrade your plan after your plan has been downgraded.
Add-on credits, on the other hand, never expire. You can use them even after your plan is downgraded, even if you had previously purchased them as part of a Premium plan bundle price.
You can check your Race Calendar Wizard promo credits balance at any time by visiting your user account page. There, you'll find a summary of your member plan credits, add-on credits and your cumulative total of remaining promo credits.
If you have used up all your Race Calendar Wizard promo credits, you will see a prompt next time you try to submit a race for listing, asking you to purchase additional credits. You'll be able to do so at that point before completing your race submission.
Alternatively, you can purchase additional Race Calendar Wizard promo credits at any time through your user account page by clicking the Buy listing credits button.
Once your race has been submitted to race calendars, there are no real good options for editing your race details.
If it's a small change, like a non-critical update to your race description or a small race time change, it's not worth going through the process of updating your details on all the calendars your race would have been submitted to.
If, on the other hand, the change is important (e.g. your race date has changed) the best way to edit your race details - although there is no guarantee that your updates will be accepted by all race calendars - is to add a new race on your dashboard with the new race details you want to publish and submit that race again for listing through your dashboard's Race Calendar Wizard page.
