NFC Timing Systems
NFC race timing systems use Near Field Communication tags embedded in wristbands to time participants in a race. The NFC tags are usually scanned with a phone or dedicated NFC scanner, and times are recorded in an app.
NFC timing systems can provide a lower-cost alternative to RFID timing systems, although, because of their shorter range, they are better suited for smaller events or checkpoint timing.
